Find out how to carry off an off shoulder effortlessly chic!
Last year I attended one of my close friend’s big fat Indian wedding where I met her entire Khandan (family tree). Every one of us as you can imagine were decked up from head to toe. The funny part was when few of us met after the wedding, we couldn’t recognise each other and had to be re-introduced (true story. though most identified me because of my braces…haha!).
Once such girl I couldn’t recognise was one of her cousin – Ambreen. When we connected after months, It took me a while to connect the dots. It’s amusing to see how a Saree can distinctively change a look. Ambreen, this colourful lovely young girl, coming of age is working towards her aspiration of becoming a designer. While going through her wardrobe, She showed me so many well-made pieces that she has sewn for herself.
This adorable little, off the shoulder top, is one of her such creations. She kept in mind the versatility and made it flexible to wear even as a trendy round necked top with frills around. Just pull the sides and you are done! Ain’t that neat? I styled this electric blue off the shoulder with a peachy long skirt. The complimentary colours along made the look a vivid picture!
It’s a perfect colour combination for one of those gloomy old days. Wearing vibrant colours when I’m feeling glum is one of my tricks to cheer myself up (and chocolates *wink* ). We kept the rest pretty simple with just a black choker around the neck along with tiny ear studs.
