Upcycle | Sustainable | Fashion…Part 2/3

Latasita x Pretcurry

Latasita

Didn’t I say it will come as no surprise that the look will be very different from what you saw in Part 1 about the upcycle fashion house – Latasita. In an interview with Vagabomb, this is what Meghna (the woman behind Latasita) had to say about her journey with the sustainable upcycle fashion, “I felt inspired and confident enough to start LataSita in India where we already have a long history of upcycling and jugaad woven into the culture — I wanted to update it and infuse it with some style and snazz!”

Along with rich and vibrant colours, Latasita also knows how to subtly play with muted colours and make an understated statement!

Over here Juhi is wearing a white/grey ikkat skirt clubbed with a sombre quilted short jacket. The Structured jacket nicely complimenting the easy going – free flow- skirt.

Fun fact: you can also wear this skirt as a tube dress!

latasitaThis quilted jacket is so universal, it can be clubbed with many different things, such as here, she is wearing it with an ikkat straight-cut, wrap-a-round skirt. The best part is, the skirt comes with a pocket, don’t we all love it when we see a pocket in our dresses or skirts ♥. More designers should start accepting the fact, that we girls also need pockets in our garments!

Moreover, she has various forms of jackets, just like this reversible long asymmetric jacket. Which can be teamed up with LBDs or dresses or even crop top & skirt. Over here, Juhi is wearing it with a long ankle length black dress giving much-acquired attention to this checkered reversible jacket. Personally, I like the concept of reversible garments, you can get two for the price of one – perfect!
